Lazy CR Pickle
No, it's not what MR calls me when I save the dishwashing after the dinner party till the next morning! It's a new beet recipe from one of my dear readers, Pablo!
Cut and boil the beets. Save the cooking water and let them cool. Put them in a jar and add apple cider vinegar, about 1/4 the volume of beet liquid. You can add salt if you want. This makes a good lazy CR pickle.
I'm looking forward to trying it!

Hi, April- at last have got round to saying that on here!-Well, for the life of me I cannot pull up the video--I logged onto CNN as a member too--but now your stringline has gone from the posted 3 or so under Health heading--
By the way- I eventually completed reading your blog from the beginning on blogspot and here: --A story of passion for life superlatively written with so much content it was as satiating a read as could be, complete with everything to guide, stretch and amuse a soul.
'Though have been doing CRON for 2 yrs plus (with a gaining gap of a couple of mths) - am only just now geting around to reading the blogs. I read the LIST on and off when have time- but kept going as am good cyber friends with an old tome CRoner from the LIST startup days --that keeps me going --but find the blogs also keep me focused definitely.
April, great blog of course --wish I could see the CNN video! Anyone any tips on how? Have tried CNN search to no avail .
Am now Stateside permanently this last year by way of Asia (10 yrs on and off ) and UK (am British- recently remarried(10 1/2 yrs my junior --way to go CR!)

Hi April,
I love your blog. Looking for some advice. I am 34 and 5'1. I have always been very athletic however I recently had knee surgery and so I'm home in bed for the next two weeks. I'm always looking at ways to improve/enhance my life and I've thinking about experimenting with CR. Do you have any recommendations calorie wise for someone who's immobile at the moment? I was thinking about starting at 800 with optimal nutrion-lots of eggswhites-veggies, berries and yogurt nad upping it to 1200 once I'm back on my feet. I weight 125-any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Candice
