CRON-O-METER is the best... and works on the Mac!
A warm hug to all my commenters who asked about software! (Especially Laura... so glad to have you back! Missed you!) I think the best of all programs is Aaron's CRON-O-Meter, which can be found at Aaron's site. Aaron and his wife Christine are serious CR practitioners and life-extensionists, and also some of the most fun people I know. I knew both of them pre-CR, and they were gorgeous then, but now they are both just incredibly breath-takingly beautiful, with health oozing out of every pore. Especially Christine. :)
For those of you who use Macs, be aware that you are in good company... my angel MR is a dyed in the wool Mac person! He uses CRON-O-Meter and loves it. I think you will too. It really is an easy, flexible program. Enjoy!

I've been meaning to make the transition over to CRON-O-Meter but had a few problems with its earlier versions.
Just downloaded and loaded up the program, I'm entering todays foods right now, seems quite easy to use and good :)
Might aswell just start using it now.

Just thought I'd mention this... while I'm entering my foods into CRON-o-Meter it is showing less calories than DWIDP for each food (same grams used)
So right now I'm at 317wkcal with DWIPD and 312kcal with CRON-O-Meter (4 foods).
Maybe non-significant for some... but at the end it could be around a 50k/cal or so difference between the two programs.

I have been tracking with CRON-O-Meter for about 2 solid months now and find it to be exceptionally user friendly. The only issue I ran into was that the multi-vitamin I take showed different daily value percentages than the CRON-O-Meter (the program is actually using the updated/current recommendations where as the vitamin people are stuck in the past). Of course, I only know this because MR told me. =)

Terrific! I have a Mac and my husband has a PC, but I'd rather use the Mac.
If I can't get the hang of it, I might need a tutorial. I'll be at Wharton for the week after Thanksgiving :)
Thanks for the encouragement you give to all of us!

Shucks April, too kind ;)
Matt -- while there's always a chance there's a bug, this is more probably the fact that CRON-o-Meter uses the most recent USDA food data, whereas DWIDP is many years out-of-date.

Oh great!
Then I will carry on using your program... thank you! :)

Tried to take Pink Salmon off of Cron-O-Meter's USDA's reference look up feature: problem, these cans of Bear & Wolf brand wild alaskan pink salmon skinless and boneless claim on label that for 56 grams to contain 60 calories and 13 grams of protein - usda does not have a pink salmon that is boneless and skinless that I see and the other pink salmon choices claim at least 65 calories and show only 11 grams of protein -- who do you CR people trust generally? Should I go with the label? And enter a new food or whatever procedure the Cron-O-Meter allows me too ..?

Thanks a million April for the beautiful words. It mean's a lot coming from you. P.S. I just finished "French Women Don't Get Fat" by Mireille Guiliano and loved it.

Just starting to use CRON-o-Meter and find it quite good so far. However, two questions puzzle me. Apparently this program only keeps track of one person - why can't it be set up to track 2 or 3 people in a family? Why can't the program print different panals such as the target values panal?
