Dried Fruit Of Death
One of my co-workers keeps bringing in my favorite dried fruit, pineapple and mango, to the office. He's made a very attractive display of nuts and fruit right by the microwave and watercooler in the common kitchen area.
Somehow I got stuck in an impromptu meeting with two co-workers at this spot. The evil pineapple got me.
Oh yum yum. But must not eat. Very high calorie, sugary food. It is only pretending to be fruit.
Now I feel a tiny bit ill.

Dried fruit..mmmmm the bane of my existence! Yep, it's a tough one. Hopefully your tiny feeling has gone away now.

perhaps you should keep some fresh fruit on hand to beat those cravings. i really like defrosted frozen cranberries from whole foods... they soften up a lot and they're good with a little bit of cinnamon and splenda on top. a whole bag is only 100 calories and under 10 g of sugar.

It comforts me to know that I'm not the only one with a weakness for that stuff. Argh. I guess there are worse things . . . but still, I wish I could resist it . . .

Oh my goodness, that stuff is so good. I can't let myself have it or I'll go too far with it. I've eaten a whole pound of those dried pineapples at once in the past. Talk about calories and sugar!!!!!

Yeah, especially dried apricots and mangoes. I have a package of dried apricots that have no preservatives, no added sugars, no added anything except the mandatory sodium benzoate. Those I don't feel too badly about, but so many dried fruits add insults by adding even more sugar to the dried fruit, as it it wans't sweet enought to begin with. That's really annoying. I was looking for dried goji berries and for the longest time, I could only find them with added sugar and/or pomegranate juice. Grr. Now I've got real goji berries and eat my 10g per day. If I can keep away from the apricots I'll be fine.
