Sanjay Gupta Special on CNN Airs Tonight!

8 pm Eastern, apparently. Tonight and tomorrow, two part series. I think.

We won't be watching it because we don't have a TV, so can somebody tape it?

Will be watching it in 15 minutes here in the UK.

Could you maybe watch it at a friend's house who receives CNN? It would be a genuine shame if you missed it, guys, and they'd probably love to have "the stars" in their living room! JD :-)

Hi April.

I enjoyed the program very much, the part on calorie restriction was fair and I think its probably the best interview you and michae have gave so far... or maybe the editing was far better this time as it all didn't seem to be rushed. This time, rather than cutting out parts of the sentence it seemed more 'complete'.

You and Michael seem extremely calm during the interview also and come across very well.

The food looked excellent too!

I have it recorded on DVD, might possible convert it on pc later on. Or check out the chasing life CNN website because the video content is increased daily (from the show).

I've set my DVR for 8pm but it said Special Investigations Unit...Just checked the website & that's the heading so I'm good to go. I think I can make a tape from my DVR if I do a little re-wiring.

Can't wait to see you guys..the web specials have been really interesting.

Just watched the first hour of the Chasing Life program. While you & MR weren't on for long, you both came across very well and the FOOD! Wow! It looked so colourful & delicious that I'm really glad it's time to go cook our dinner, as it made me hungry. Congratulations! MoMR :-)

Just watched it. It was really cool seeing you both. Great interview. And the food... YUM!

Judith;

I believe the program is only one hour, and the other times are just repeats.

All the broken Segments together would of added up more total airtime than their previous interviews.

Also their cat got on TV for a few seconds too (I believe was april cat?)

Matt, my understanding is that it's a two-parter but I'll find out this evening, when I turn on the idiot box at 6:00. And yes, that was Kieffer. MoMR :-)

CNN set up the following site for the show:

http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2007/chasing.life/

It provides some video clips, etc..

Matt, you were right -- this evening's program is a re-run. Oh, well -- even MORE people may have watched and learned. JD :-)

Hi April
Hopefully someone may post the recorded program to YouTube, for those of us who are TV challenged. I'm sure the CR Society would benefit from being able to link to such a recording.
Cheers
Arturo

Much as I'd love to post the program, I believe CNN would have quite a lot to say about us putting clips of their copyrighted material on YouTube. They will do it themselves, perhaps if enough of us request the links.... April, you probably can get copies of it since you were featured.. You guys looked and sounded great! I'd say, watch Sanjay in the next couple of months, I bet he slims down CR style, I think he was quite impressed.
The Larry King show on Saturday night was very good too. When he asked Sanjay the single most important thing he learned, Sanjay replied that CR was very impressive as well as the only proven method. It was at the very beginning of the show!

The other thing we can all do is send videos in to CNN

Congrats on some really positive press!!

Hi April,
Like so many here, I watched the show and enjoyed it. I think Dr. Gupta's report was pretty balanced. I also thought he showed you and Michael in a good light -- and the amount of food was quite alot! Yes, it really clicked seeing the difference of nutritionally dense/calorically low food when it's on a large-sized dinner plate.

My partner, who is as tall as MR, couldn't believe his height/weight ratio. And yet, I don't think MR looks scrawny or anything. In fact, he looks extremely healthy. I am going to do some work to see if I cannot inch Joe and myself a little closer to modified CR. The kids can always decide later if they wish to follow.

Great program!

i've missed your segment by catching only the end of the show twice now, even though i'm in miami with aunt becky and have nothing better to do! however, i saw the larry king interview with sanjay gupta and others (aunt becky never misses larry king). larry asked what we can do to extend life and caloric restriction was the first thing sanjay mentioned, so you must have persuaded him.

Emma, CNN is apparently re-running the program over the April 21/22 weekend, so check your local CNN channel for the broadcast time. April & MR make their appearance 13 minutes into the show. MoMR :-)

You guys looked fabulous. As a follow up to Gina - my partner also thought MR's height to weight were totally unbalanced, but I thought he looked fit and healthy. You are both fantastic representatives for CR. ali

Sorry I was wrong about the two-part series. M
