Designer Food

This from my "Why French Women Don't Get Fat" newsletter:

Superb Spring Asparagus
A Seasonal Food That Comes in Two Designer Shades

That strikes me as incredibly cute, for some reason.

Does anyone remember how I used to talk about buying tall, skinny, sexy asparagi? For some reason, I thought it extremely obvious that I was hitting on MR with this statement. I tend to think myself much more transparent than I am. I always think that men know when I am interested in them. When we're talking about science geeks, the answer is usually that they have no clue. No clue whatsoever.

Now I have my own sexy skinny boy to feed tall skinny asparagi to. In two designer shades.

And someday I will have time to do serious cooking again.

In celebration of your tall, skinny boy, I'm enjoying the asparagi from Lancaster County. One of the wonders of living in Reading, PA. The taste like they just jumped out of the garden.

How cute to correlate skinny boys to asparagus. This weekend, I took a farm tour of the CSA that I bought into, and I was astounding to see the asparagus growing straight out of the ground! I guess I knew that is how they grew, but it wasn't really something I pondered daily. Very cute to see those stalks peeking up out of the ground. I hope it all settles down for you soon. Keep your fingers crossed that the Poughkeespie-area CWA is able to get us a good contract without much of a hassle.
