Hello Kitty Happy Cute

My hello kitty pajamas have writing all over the pants that proclaim in bright bubble letters "Hello Kitty" "Happy" "Cute." In no particular order, so it could say,

"Hello happy cute kitty."

or

"Hello Kitty (= implied) Happy Cute."

I find that staring all day at the words Hello Kitty Happy Cute has this totally bizarre effect of making me feel happy and cute. It's like by labeling myself such, I make it a reality.

This is a lot like those weight loss strategies that advise you to affirm "I am a thin person" over and over again until it happens.

I am happy! I am cute! Hello Kitty!

Next time I am in a crappy mood due to stress and exhaustion, I will just put on my Hello Kitty Happy Cute pjs and affirm that I am indeed happy and cute until it feels real.

Happy cute. Happy cute. Happy cute. Hello Kitty.

No longer exhausted sleep-deprived stress overloaded organizer, I am now happy cute! Happy cute!!!

You know, maybe I was just feeling happy cute because I finally had a day off. This morning I was feeling crappy/ugly. But then I drank my chocobanana whey shake that MR made me while on my way to my first meeting, and I felt happy cute again! Does whey make me happy? It seems to every time I eat it. Hello whey shake happy cute!!!!!

I'm heading up to New York to meet Jedi writer warrior goddess Allswellinhell, who is there for an event. I am bringing a small offering of chocobanana whey protein powder. I am very excited.

Except, that usually doesn't happen. I have to wonder: are you trying to sound as simplistic as you possibly can? I think those "HelloKitty" pjs are dumbing you down, or maybe you do not really have a clue (although I am sure you think you do) as to what obese people have to deal with. "Happy/cute", indeed.

PS: (And you Did start that fight with grocery-store boy, as you were incensed he did not know all his veggies. Understandable, perhaps, you anger. Giving him a public lecture on how he should eat? Not so understandable. Maybe that's why he called into question your "patriotism". Laughable, really. Over the top, but you deserved it for getting so affronted - and don't try to pretend that part of your ire was not also due to his excess weight. Well, to Your mind it was excess weight, anyway).
Oh, you Are fun to read, April Smith.;)

Gotta love fun pj's! Santa brings new pj's to everyone in our house every December 24th and it's one of the best things about the holiday!

Here we go again.
Garry, you are so pathetic. Please step away from your computer and go get a life.

I, personally, have found that wearing Nietzsche pyjamas helps bolster my mood, and indeed, I find that if I repeat "eternal recurrence!" and "transvaluation of all values!" often enough, I will embody both. However, when I want to dumb myself down and hang with the simplistic chaps in the hood, I often resort to wearing my Jacques Derrida PJ's.

I find affirmations really don't do the trick for weight loss, and are almost as pointless as a person who keeps a daily blog telling someone else to step away from the computer. Although not quite as hypocritical.

Hello Kitty would never work for me. I've spent too much time in Japan, where it's a huge part of the culture of "kawaii" (extremely childlike cuteness is maybe a good translation). But I have my own clothing preferences, and they do help me get into a certain mood or stay out of a certain mood. And since mood and food are so related, why doesn't someone come up with "CR" pjs?

Great to know my trip to TJ Max set off such a lively discussion. Hello Kitty is great distraction. Wait until April sees her Christmas stocking treats. Marti, Mother of April

Hey, I read your story it is so cute! I love Hello Kitty too. I'd rather be worried about this protein shake or something you're taking than you being affected by the happy cute...? Happy cute is good! Better than shakes!
