We Won

Hi all,

Well, Sara got married and I won my second election of the summer.

I need a lot of sleep.

I went to the Allentown Farmers' Market and bought every vegetable I wanted, including a huge zucchini that nearly frightened MR when I brought it out of the bag.

I'll write more when I have even the smallest amount of energy.

Awesome, April. Rest is the reward for a job well done.

So go get some!

Major congratulations, April! That's awesome news. I sincerely hope that you will actually be able to take a break, if only for a few days. Stay home. Sleep. Enjoy some wonderful meals. Sit out in your back yard with a glass of wine. Take an evening walk by the river. You know -- REST! JD :-)

Hi April,
My name is Alison (as indicated by the name blank i suppose) and I stumbled upon your blog today quite by accident while trying to find the caloric value of fat free raspberry viniagrette. I must say it was encouraging and intriguing to hear from someone practicing CR. I stumbled upon some literature pertaining to it last december when I had grown frustrated with my body and eating habits and wanted to make a change. I did not begin practicing CR persay, but I did begin monitoring my caloric intake down to carrots (although the accuracy of said measuring is questionable). I may have teased with eating disorder for a few weeks in there, but quickly bounced out of that with a determination to eat healthy. And no, I am not a CR practitioner at this current point, but I am a calorie monitor and will continue to search out litereature pertaining to CR as you have peaked my curiousity once again. I guess I just want to say thanks for putting your voice out there. Even the small changes I have made in my eating have been met with resistance from those around me so it is nice to hear from someone with experience.
Have a good weekend,
Alison

Congrats on winning :-)
Rest, relax, cook mighty zucchini with lots of garlic, get a pedicure (not necessarily in that order!)
