Big Veg Rescue
Thursday for negotiations Lisa was in charge of getting the snacks. She did a good job, got mostly healthy stuff. A big vegetable tray, fruit tray, hummus... some crackers and creamy dips too, but mostly good stuff.
I ate all the celery. Lots of folks chowed down on the veg tray. But there was a ton left at the end of the session. So I got out a bag and took it all home. Probably about five pounds or more of veggies. Cooked up some of the broccoli last night for dinner.
Lots more thoughts, but I'm on my way to get my hair done at 8 am. More soon...

Hi April! Just getting caught up on your blog. We watched your shin dig on Keith Olbermann - fantastic. And I love your 8 things I love about my body. I'll say you've got nice abs;-)
Quick question: what is that miracle oil that prevents dry skin? Need some desperately
Also, have you any low cal breakfast suggestions?
At some point this week I imagine I'm going to try your Southwesternish dish. Will let you know how it goes.
Ta,
Shannon

Yay, Lisa! Maybe her good example will rub off on other people when it's their turn to organize the food. Glad to hear you took the leftover veggies home. I find it appalling how much food gets thrown away nowadays. My granny must be spinning in her grave! JD :-)

Your veg rescue clearly shows that CRONies aren't rich, elitist snobs who want everyone to go broke buying expensive food like some people seem to think :)
Also, 5 pounds of free veggies! I'm jealous!

(I'm usually a lurker because more often than not I'm reading your blog on my wee little cell phone browser :)
Yay! When I'm wearing my "association meeting planner" hat at work seeing food thrown away at hotels really gets me. First, because I'm really cheap and I know what the hotel chargers for all of that. And second because, you know, throwing food aways is bad. I've starting packing freezer sized ziplock bags as part of the standard meeting kit.
Also, because I'm suddenly not limited to typing with my thumbs: awesome blog! I'm taking, well, baby steps towards more ordered eating so I love the CRON content. But also, I really like the organizing and everyday life stuff too. When referring to interesting factoids you've written about you always get referred to as "my favorite blogger..."
