Packing Lunch

One thing that seems to be pretty ideal in my CR practice is my quotidian lunch. Salad that MR makes, yogurt or cottage cheese, salsa or hot sauce, almonds. 65% of the RDA of calcium in one big shot, and quite delicious.

When I go out, I usually have grilled chicken or shrimp on a salad, but I really wish that restaurants would offer salads with cottage cheese or yogurt. The only one that does it that I know of is the Ruby Tuesday's salad bar.

Alas... back to the plans for owning my own CR-friendly restaurant... after the revolution...

You know what is weird, I have loved salads for years now, and once when I was doing Atkins to support some other people, I was like "uhhh I can't cut back to just 3 cups of salad greens a day." I was CRAVING broccoli! Did you know my two year old son LOVES broccoli? Don't get me wrong, he loves his South Beach cookies, too... but we can chop up about a cup or more of steamed broccoli florets and he will eat every last bite and this is without cheese or anything that most kids have to have. One night he even ate all his broccoli and didn't even touch the pizza we gave him which I also thought was weird. Okay let me just say I am happy with the way he eats it seems like he is very balanced. He loves macaroni and cheese sometimes and sometimes he just wants to eat apples and stuff...
