Why Do Cardio?
Mary asks why I do cardio at all, when it's a calorie-burner and makes me hungrier.
This is not the entry where I address that question in depth.
The is the entry where I simply say that when a ton of people are waiting in line for the extremely slow elevator in my office building, it is a wonderful thing to be able to hippity hoppity skip skip skip up the stairs to my fourth floor office.

Cardio can give me a real "lift" in another way than what April mentions (although her way sounds pretty impressive, with four floors of skipping up effortlessly)! Cardio provides me with a natural high. Especially if done to music. The hunger that exercise promotes seems to be a normal function of the human body needing to replenish itself after the exercise. It makes sense (to me) that people who expend more calories also need more.

Cardio is important... you'll never lose weight on just diet alone. When you work out and do CR, you start looking fine fast..

Exercising makes you feel really good, or it should. I spent a lot of my teens playing football for about 3-4 hours every day and over the park about 10 hours a day, everyday, in the summer holidays. (of course we went home for dinner in between).
Being physically fit improves sleep, makes you feel good, and there are also other reasons too. Like running away from danger :p lol
I've always felt at my best when most active and fit.
