MLife Sciences Biological aging is a progressive, degenerative process of decay. As aging damage accumulates in our functional cellular and molecular structures, the healthy order laid down in our youth slowly falls apart. This damage occurs as a result of a series of unintended biochemical side-effects of normal metabolism. As more and more of our cellular and molecular structures suffer this damage, functionality is lost, and health, resilience and vitality are slowly taken away from us, leading to increasing age-related frailty, disability, disease, and ultimately death.

Organovo, Inc. is a regenerative medicine company that applies proprietary technology to "print" new organs. Their work will enable us to quickly and cheaply produce organs and body tissue for transplantation and testing, thereby reducing the need for animal test subjects and greatly speeding up the process by which treatments can used for humans.
By marrying a knowledge of biophysics and cell biology with the precision of computer aided design and high precision deposition, Organovo is able to recreate the microarchitecture of even the most complex human tissue. By precisely placing cells with an organ printer, and providing them with the proper natural developmental cues, the cells do exactly what they do in nature: they self assemble into fully formed, functional tissue. The SENS Foundation Research program invests directly into specific scientific research, aimed at the biomedical repair of the damage of biological aging. Using a revolutionary "engineering" approach, these therapies will repair all known forms of aging-related damage in the human body, with the aim of restoring youthful cellular and biomolecular structure, renewing youthful function, health, and vitality. After being wholly operated by Methuselah Foundation since 2005, SENS Foundation was launched in March, 2009 as a new and independent organization, with a mission to develop, promote and ensure widespread access to regenerative medicine solutions to the disabilities and diseases of aging and the Methuselah Foundation subsequently transferred its SENS research initiatives, along with supportive grant funding, to SENS Foundation.
